Data Control Firm Ketch Opens European HQ in London

Californian startup seeks sector growth in retail and e-commerce, media, travel and hospitality, automotive and financial services.

Californian “trust-by-design” platform Ketch wants to catch more tech action with the official opening of its European HQ in London.

Ketch is based in San Francisco and was founded in 2020. It provides programmatic privacy and data stewardship. Its clients include Patreon and IMAX.

The announcement from Ketch is more good news for the capital as plenty of other foreign tech firms have opened offices in the city.

Recent examples include Berlin-based greentech company Plan A and San Francisco-based climate tech company Watershed.

Anyway, Ketch (which is the name for a two-masted sailboat) has its own plans for smooth sailing.

Along with the launch, the data control startup has announced a number of senior appointments.

Russell Howe is its new Vice President EMEA. He joins Ketch after nine years with Salesforce, where he was a Senior AVP for Northern Europe.

The tech entity is continuing to hire and invest in Europe across its sales, solution engineering and customer experience teams. Ketch has 60 employees listed on LinkedIn.

Its sector growth plans include retail and e-commerce, media, travel and hospitality, automotive and financial services.

Ketch says its Programmatic Privacy solution lets companies adapt programmatically to regulations.

It also offers a Data Stewardship solution, where “companies mobilise responsibly gathered data for deeper customer engagement and top-line growth; and prepare the foundation for responsible AI and advanced data and analytics”.
