MITSG Acquires Managed Services Provider Everything Tech

Sheffield-based Managed IT Services Group snaps up firm in Manchester - with the latter city becoming its national headquarters.

Managed IT Services Group (MITSG) has bought Manchester-based managed services provider (MSP) Everything Tech for an undisclosed amount.

MITSG is based in Sheffield. Remarkably, it has no website, but a LinkedIn page with six employees listed.

Via the deal, Everything Tech (which has a website) will become the flagship brand in the MITSG group, with Manchester becoming its national headquarters and will bring the group’s total headcount to 100.

Managing Director of Everything Tech, Ruth Hall, comments: “Over recent years, we have been approached several times to sell the business however, those buyers were never aligned with our core ethos and culture, where our customers and our people come first. MITSG very much share our beliefs and values and believe in the brand we’ve worked hard to build over the past 12 years.”

Everything Tech provides IT infrastructure support to businesses – such as IT support, IT security, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, Office 365 and cloud services, backup and disaster recovery, IT training, unified communications and Microsoft Dynamics. It is headquartered in central Manchester but covers customers nationwide.

Founded by Mark Allen and Phil Smith, MITSG offer SMEs a range of managed services around four distinct specialist units – Cloud & Remote Desktop services, Networks & Security, Voice & Contact Centre, and IT Support.

This is the latest acquisition for MITSG, taking the total to four since May 2021. It acquired MSP firm CSS Group for an undisclosed sum in January 2022.

The firm is making progress. In February, it got an investment of £10 million from BOOST&Co. This funding was underpinned by director’s loans, and MITSG says it is on an “aggressive expansion strategy”.

Maybe it can also use the money to create a website.
